Our Story

Tek-Hed isn't just about smart accessories. It's a part of a movement to bring creative production back to North America through small-scale manufacturing. This is all done by makers and for makers. We hope you can support us on this journey.

  • Tek-Hed as an Idea

    Steve had the first thought of what would eventually become Tek-Hed. This came from the desire to create and to help improve the landscape in North America for at-home production.

  • Steve Buys A 3D-Printer

    Steve recognized that FDM printing is a useful tool for creating interesting products. This began the process of learning how to create high-quality products with this mode of manufacturing.

  • The Design Phase

    Here is where the ideas were hatched for our first two collections, Four+Twenty and Slidez. One is for work and one for play. Both are technology-focused.

  • The Prototype Phase

    The smallest details of our products are worked out here. From the thickness and finish of the material to the strength of our magnets, no stone is left unturned.

  • Tek-Hed is Launched

    It's the culmination of all the work done in the first phases of this project. We want to share it with all of you and we hope you'll love it.

Who is the ManBot?

The ManBot is our mascot. He symbolizes the connection between people and their technology. Everything we make here at Tek-Hed is intended to enhance this connection as we move intro the future.
